Contra Costa County Witness Cremation
Many Families wish to opt for a witness cremation. This service offers 45 minutes in the chapel where the participants gather to say goodbye in their culturally appropriate and sensitive way. At the conclusion of the chapel service, the deceased is taken into the crematorium and placed on a device called an autoloader which will safely and gently insert the remains into the cremation chamber.
Many cultures including Buddhists and Hindus incorporate witnessing the beginning of the cremation within their disposition rites. Fortunately, Pacific Interment Service owns its centrally located crematorium in Emeryville California. We have decades of experience in conducting witness cremations including a keen familiarity with the Eastern rituals involved in cremation. We are able to guide family, friends, and religious personnel through the process which begins in our chapel located in a separate room beside the crematorium.
