Bay Area Direct Burial
At our funeral home, we offer a serene and efficient service known as Direct Burial. This option provides a respectful interment of the remains shortly after the passing, ensuring a timely and dignified process. For this service, we offer a selection of simple caskets.
With Direct Burial, we focus on the essentials, and while there is no viewing, visitation, church service, or graveside service included, rest assured that every step is handled with utmost care. Embalming is not necessary or required, but if desired, the next of kin has the option to authorize embalming at an additional cost.
Our comprehensive Direct Burial package encompasses the removal of the deceased from various locations such as hospitals, coroners’ offices, medical examiner facilities, nursing homes, private residences, convalescent care facilities, or hospices (please click here for guidance on what to do when death occurs). We ensure refrigerated storage in our licensed morgue facility to maintain the proper conditions.
As part of our dedicated service, we take care of all necessary documentation. Our experienced team completes both the medical and non-medical sections of the death certificate, obtaining the required signatures from doctors or coroners. We then file the death certificate and disposition permit with the local health department, relieving you of these responsibilities during a challenging time.
Finally, we provide a non-witnessed delivery of the remains to a local cemetery, where the interment takes place. Throughout the entire process, you can rely on our calm and compassionate staff to handle every detail with the utmost professionalism.
If you have any questions or would like further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are here to provide you with support and guidance during this difficult time.
