Pacific Interment offers a compassionate and comprehensive service known as Direct Cremation. This option provides a respectful and efficient handling of the remains, ensuring a smooth process during this difficult time. Allow us to guide you through the details of our Direct Cremation service:

First and foremost, our dedicated team will handle the removal of the deceased from their place of passing, whether it be a hospital, coroner’s office, medical examiner facility, nursing home, private residence, convalescent care facility, or hospice (please click here for guidance on what to do when death occurs). You can trust us to carry out this task with the utmost respect and professionalism.

Following the removal, we provide refrigerated storage of the remains in our licensed morgue facility. This ensures that the proper conditions are maintained until the cremation process.

Our experienced staff takes care of all necessary documentation as part of our service. This includes completing both the medical and non-medical sections of the death certificate and obtaining the required signatures from doctors or coroners. We then file the death certificate and disposition permit with the local health department, relieving you of these responsibilities during this challenging time.

The actual cremation and processing of the cremated remains are conducted by our locally owned and operated crematory, which is included in the basic direct cremation fee. As part of this package, we provide a cardboard alternative cremation container and a temporary plastic urn for the return of the cremated remains. These items serve as a minimum vessel to hold the remains, fulfilling the legal requirements. Rest assured that the cremation process is carried out with the utmost care and respect.

After the cremation, the cremated remains will be released to the next of kin at either of our convenient locations. Our staff will be there to assist and support you during this step, ensuring a smooth and seamless handover.

Please note that there are additional crematory charges for remains weighing in excess of 250 lbs or taller than 6’7″. These fees cover the additional labor costs, fuel, and time required to complete the cremation process. You can view all of the pricing on our general price list.
