Eco-Friendly Cremations
At Pacific Interment, we believe in offering families a range of options to honor and remember their loved ones in a respectful and environmentally conscious manner. As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive mortuary and crematory services, we are proud to introduce an innovative alternative to traditional fire cremation: flameless cremation, also known as alkaline hydrolysis.
Flameless Cremation, or alkaline hydrolysis, is a gentle and greener process that provides families with another form of disposition for their loved ones. This innovative method utilizes alkaline water and heat to break down the body, offering a more sustainable and energy-efficient option compared to traditional fire cremation. In fact, alkaline hydrolysis uses only 1/20th of the energy required by traditional flame cremation, reducing its impact on the environment.
Benefits of Flameless Cremation
With flameless cremation, families have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the environment on behalf of their loved ones. By choosing this alternative method, they can save energy and help reduce pollution, thus leaving a positive legacy for future generations. At Pacific Interment, we understand the importance of honoring the wishes of each family and offer flameless cremation as a thoughtful choice for those seeking a gentle and eco-friendly process.
It’s important to note that while the cremation process itself differs, the traditional funeral ceremony and the return of the ashes to the family remain unchanged. We recognize the significance of these rituals in providing closure and honoring the memory of a loved one. Therefore, you can rest assured that regardless of the chosen method of cremation, Pacific Interment will continue to provide the same compassionate support and comprehensive service that we are known for.
When you choose Pacific Interment for flameless cremation, you can expect our dedicated team to handle every aspect of the process with the utmost care and professionalism. Our experienced staff will manage the removal of the deceased from the place of passing, whether it is a hospital, coroner’s office, medical examiner facility, nursing home, private residence, convalescent care facility, or hospice. We understand the sensitive nature of this task and will treat it with the respect it deserves.
Following the removal, the remains will be stored in our licensed morgue facility, ensuring the proper conditions are maintained until the flameless cremation process. Our team will take care of all necessary documentation, including completing the required sections of the death certificate and obtaining the necessary signatures from doctors or coroners. We will then file the death certificate and disposition permit with the local health department, alleviating you of these responsibilities during this challenging time.
The flameless cremation and processing of the cremated remains will be conducted in our own locally owned and operated crematory, which is included in the flameless cremation package.
After the flameless cremation, our compassionate staff will release the cremated remains to the next of kin at one of our convenient locations. We will be there to assist and support you during this step, ensuring a smooth and seamless handover.
At Pacific Interment, we understand that this is a challenging and emotional time for you and your family. Our dedicated team is committed to providing a calming and supportive environment, offering guidance and assistance every step of the way. If you have any questions or would like further information about flameless cremation or any of our services, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to assist you with compassion and care, ensuring that you and your loved ones are well taken care of.
